Shahriar Keshvari

I am currently pursuing a PhD in Chemical Physics at the University of Maryland. After earning my master’s degree in Physics, I discovered my passion for applying the principles of physics to tackle challenging biological questions. My research focuses on using simulations to explore how molecules behave in different environments—a fascinating intersection of physics, chemistry, and biology.

As a tutor, I’ve had the privilege of working with students of all ages, from middle schoolers taking their first steps into science to graduate students tackling advanced concepts. I believe that effective teaching is all about building connections, nurturing curiosity, and giving students the tools they need to succeed. Confidence is key to problem-solving, so I strive to create a space where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring ideas.

A bit about my hobbies, I am an avid badminton player and I love listening to classical music.
